The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is the execution arm of the national R&I policies and the national funding agency for research, technological development and innovation in Cyprus. Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) is the economic promotion agency of the Federal Republic of Germany. GTAI informs German companies about foreign export markets, promotes Germany as a business location and assists foreign companies setting up in Germany.

Elevate Greece is the official public agency and the leading resource for in-depth information on the Greek Startup Ecosystem. Through a digital platform and a selection process, the organisation aims to identify, map and support promising startups, while nurturing and integrating a robust innovation ecosystem around them. By proposing a range of fiscal incentives and regulatory framework for startups and investors, and by co-operating with public and private entities, Elevate Greece is a facilitator striving to lay the foundations to make Greece a global innovation hub.

Innovation Agency Lithuania is the official public agency responsible for the development of Lithuanian innovation ecosystem and the promotion of innovation at all stages of business development – from developing ideas to delivering products and services to end-users. 

Luxinnovation, the national innovation agency, empowers companies to innovate today to be ready for tomorrow and contributes to the development of the economy as a whole by identifying innovation opportunities and fostering collaborative innovation projects that stimulate the development of a sustainable, competitive, and digital economy. Set up as an Economic Interest Group, Luxinnovation is supported by the Ministry of the Economy, the Ministry for Higher Education and Research, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Luxembourg Chamber of Skilled Crafts and FEDIL – The Voice of Luxembourg’s Industry.

Malta Enterprise is Malta’s economic development agency, facilitating economic growth, investment, and innovation, by offering a range of support services for local and foreign enterprises setting up a productive presence in Malta. Malta Enterprise also serves as the single point of contact for start-ups. The Agency actively cultivates a vibrant startup ecosystem, playing a pivotal role in fostering a conducive environment for startups and offering tailored support and incentives to empower emerging businesses. This is complemented by a strong policy advocacy role both on a local and international level.

The Startup Poland Foundation is a Polish think tank and a non-governmental organisation established to raise awareness of the economic potential of startup companies among the public administration, and to represent the Polish startup community in the regulatory processes.

Startup Portugal is a non-profit association with the mission of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in Portugal. In liaison with different entities and partners, it develops several initiatives that contribute to the growth of the ecosystem and to a greater culture of entrepreneurship in the country.

Slovak Business Agency (till 28/2/2014 the National Agency for Development of SMEs) is crucial, and is the oldest specialized non-profit organization for the support of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Slovak Business Agency was founded in 1993 by a common initiative of the EU and the Government of the Slovak Republic. It is the unique platform of public and private sectors.

Slovenia Flag

An independent open platform of the Slovenia startup ecosystem that supports innovative entrepreneurship. This initiative dates back to 2004 and is managed by the Venture Factory, with the Slovene Enterprise Fund and the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology partnering for many years. Members of the startup community and other public and private partners are intensively involved in the activities.

The National Institute of Cybersecurity of Spain (INCIBE), formerly the National Institute of Communication Technologies, is a company dependent on the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through the Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence and consolidated as a reference entity for the development of cybersecurity and digital confidence of citizens, academic and research network, professionals, companies and especially for strategic sectors.

We stimulate collaborations where knowledge and skills from different perspectives meet and where organisations learn from each other.Our financial support gives companies and organisations the opportunity to experiment and test new ideas before they become profitable. Every year, Vinnova invests approximately 340 m€ in research and innovation in the form of grants.
